Garage Wall Bike Hangers

By Ryan Hurd · Published

One day Alycia and I tackled the task of hanging our bikes using some wall hangers we ordered from Amazon. This project was a great way to save a little bit of space in our garage! We started by measuring the height on the garage floor, ensuring we got the right spot. We then used our trusty stud finder to locate where to drill holes, making sure we hit the studs for a secure hold. With the holes drilled, we hung the top hanger, feeling a sense of accomplishment as it went up. After that was complete, we hung the bikes (a Giant Talon and Alycia's Specialized) to measure where to put the lower plate. The bikes were a bit heavy, so we made sure to get the measurements just right. Once we had the lower plate hung, we adjusted it to prevent the tires from leaving any marks on the wall. The whole process was surprisingly quick, taking us about one and a half hours in total. We're already seeing the benefits of having more space in our garage, and it's a project we're both proud of.
