Hanging Front Porch Halloween Lights

One of the first outdoor projects at the new house was getting Halloween lights up on the porch. Rather than relying on tape or temporary clips that wouldn't hold up to wind, I installed a row of white hooks around the inside of the porch to give the light strings something secure to hang from. Once the hooks were up, running the lights around the porch was quick and they stayed put through some pretty windy nights. The best part is these hooks aren't a one-holiday deal — they're staying up year-round, so when Christmas rolls around, I'll just swap the strings instead of reinstalling anything.
