A recipe for a sweet variation of deviled eggs, featuring honey mustard and white sugar. The eggs are gently poached until just tender, then peeled and halved lengthwise. The yolk is scooped out and mashed with a fork, then mixed with a generous dollop of honey mustard and a sprinkle of white sugar. The mixture is gently folded back into the egg whites, creating a creamy, sweet filling. The eggs are then garnished with a sprinkle of paprika or a few chopped chives for a pop of color. The result is a delightful twist on a classic appetizer, perfect for a summer picnic or a casual dinner party.

Ingredients

  • • 6 large eggs
  • • 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • • 1 Tbsp honey mustard
  • • 1 tsp honey mustard
  • • 1 tsp vinegar
  • • ½ tsp salt
  • • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • • 1 pinch paprika, for garnish

Steps

  1. 1.Slice eggs in half lengthwise.
  2. 2.Remove yolks and transfer to a bowl; mash with a fork or pastry blender until yolks resemble powder.
  3. 3.Stir mayonnaise, sugar, honey mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper into yolks until smooth.
  4. 4.Spoon yolk mixture into the egg whites and lightly sprinkle with paprika.
  5. 5.Chill before serving.
